Have you heard the news? The Austin Board of REALTORS has partnered with Platinum Top 50 for our ABoR Industry Awards…and applications are now open! Apply for a PT50 award by August 31 and your entry will also be considered for a 2018 ABoR Industry Award. For more information on awards categories, eligibility criteria, and submission deadlines, please visit To apply, visit

To close out the month of July, ABoR is excited to host two exciting member events that you won’t want to miss!

In Austin, global real estate isn’t just a rising trend, it’s here to stay. To better equip you to serve international clients, ABoR is excited to host our inaugural Global Day on Wednesday, July 25. You’ll hear global real estate experts share valuable insights on how the rest of the world affects Central Texas real estate (and vice versa)! Festivities include:

• Global Forum 2018, featuring a panel moderated by Dr. Luis Torres from the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University

• Lunchtime entertainment by Kyung Ah Oh & Dance Team

• Expert Roundtable Discussions, moderated by ABoR Global Committee members

Join Texas Association of REALTORS leaders and REALTOR colleagues from Regions 8 and 15 at the 2018 Texas REALTORS 360 Meeting hosted by ABoR. On Friday, July 27, members will have the chance to share ideas and engage with local and state leaders, as well as explore issues impacting agents and brokers in the field. You can register and download the agenda at

It’s hard to believe that Realty Round Up is just a few months away! As the largest real estate trade show in Central Texas, Realty Round Up is an ideal opportunity for those looking to boost business, gain connections, and kick back with fellow industry-goers. There’s only a few weeks left for Early Bird Booth Registrations – purchase a booth at by July 31 and save $100 off booth prices! Tickets go on sale August 1!

On a last note, as of Wednesday, August 1, Coming Soon (CS) Status will no longer be a listing input option in the ABoR MLS. To minimize disruption for listing agents, any CS listings entered before August 1 will remain in CS status until they are updated to Active (A), or until the 14-day CS period passes and they are automatically put into Temporarily Off Market (T) status. ABoR members, please visit for more information about this decision and how it will affect the ABoR MLS.

As always, you can contact the ABoR Board of Directors at with any comments, questions, or concerns, and don’t forget to follow me on Facebook (@2018ABoRPresident) for need-to-know Association news, calls for action, and monthly President’s Corner videos!  RL
