Building and developing world-class communities, Blackburn Communities has become known for its custom, quality homes in desirable neighborhoods throughout the southern United States.
“We create homes and neighborhoods that we are proud to call home for our own families,” says David Blackburn, president of Blackburn Communities. “Our strategy is simple. Our communities are ‘close to everything, but far from ordinary.’ It’s a motto that we really live by when designing a community and choosing a location.”
With two successful developments in Central Texas, Blackburn Communities is excited to open two more in 2016. Currently, they have two award-winning neighborhoods in the area: Oaks at Wildwood in Georgetown and The Preserve at Mayfield Ranch in Round Rock. While Oaks at Wildwood is now completely sold out, the Preserve has 25 lots remaining, but Blackburn notes that you should act fast if you’re interested.
“We are two years ahead of schedule in selling our homes at The Preserve at Mayfield Ranch, and we’re very proud of that,” he says. “It is a gated garden home community with modern, open concept floorplans located within easy driving distance to Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, and Georgetown. We’re literally at the crossroads of Williamson County and Central Texas. We also have a great price point for the Mayfield Ranch area. All of these factors have made the Preserve at Mayfield Ranch a highly desired neighborhood.”
Next year, Blackburn Communities will be opening two more neighborhoods: Gardens at Mayfield and Diamond Oaks. To meet the various needs and interests of Central Texas residents, Blackburn notes that each of these new garden communities has its own unique amenities, design, and location.
“Being a gated garden home community really sets us apart in Central Texas and many of our clients seek us out for that reason,” Blackburn says. “Our locations provide easy access to shopping, entertainment, and recreation.”
Located next to the Williamson County Regional Park, the Gardens at Mayfield will be a gated garden home community. Priced in the $300s, the beautifully designed homes will range from 1,561 to 3,429 square feet. “Residents will be able to walk, run, or ride their bicycles into the park, which has almost 800 acres of sports and recreational activities,” Blackburn says. “It’s also a short drive to the Premium Outlet Mall, restaurants, several hospitals, and entertainment.”
Like the Gardens at Mayfield, residents of Diamond Oaks will enjoy the benefits of living next to parks and wildlife. Located immediately adjacent to the Dell Diamond and Old Settlers Park, residents will be able to walk to baseball games or see the other events at the Dell Diamond or head to the 645-acre Old Settlers Park for full range of fun recreational and sports facilities. Diamond Oaks has easy access to three major highways and is in the Round Rock school district.
In addition to creating communities with unique amenities in desirable settings, Blackburn Communities also attracts a diverse set of residents. “We see both young families all the way up to seniors looking to retire,” says Blackburn. “We’re glad that our amenities and style attract such a broad range of homeowners.”
To ensure that residents get the exact property they are looking for, most homes are built to order. As a semi-custom builder, Blackburn Communities gives residents the ability to make their own choices during the building process. “While we have specific floorplans for our future residents, we’re very flexible about moving walls, windows, cabinets, and more for our clients,” Blackburn says. “Our design center features hundreds of options and more than you would usually find with a new home builder.”
In addition to exceeding the needs of residents, Blackburn Communities also values their partnership with real estate agents. Starting in January 2016, they are launching a special program to help REALTORS through continuing education courses in marketing. Through free MCE classes taught by experienced marketing professionals, Blackburn Communities hopes to help REALTORS continue to improve their skills with clients.
“It’s our way to give back to the agents who do so much to help us sell more homes,” says Blackburn. “Call us at 512-733-2222 for more details. Our first class will be How to Create an Annual Marketing Plan, and it’s a great way to start the new year.” RL
