For the past 25 years, Monticello Homes has been building personalized, architecturally rich homes throughout the greater Austin and San Antonio areas. San Antonio native Wayne Moravits founded Monticello Homes in 1994 after recognizing a need in the market for a builder who could provide seamless service throughout all phases of the home building process—from initial design and pricing to interior and customization selections, construction management and warranties.
Since its founding, Monticello Homes has built more than 1,000 homes in communities throughout San Antonio and Austin and continues to expand. “We currently build in two communities in the greater Austin area: Deerbrooke in Leander and Bunker Ranch in Dripping Springs,” says Jason Hoover, builder for Monticello Homes. “We are also looking to expand and move into new communities in both San Antonio and Austin.”
Named after Founder Moravits’ admiration for the design and architecture of Thomas Jefferson’s home in Charlottesville, Virginia, Monticello Homes strives to create a high standard of living in its homes through a legacy of quality design and engineering, similar to Jefferson’s famous property.
To meet the needs of a variety of homebuyers—from young professionals and families to retirees and active seniors—Monticello Homes offers a products and homes of various sizes and prices points. “We offer homes from the low $300s up to over $700k,” Hoover says. “For instance our 60’ and 70’ home product in Deerbrooke starts in the $350s, while our similar product in Bunker Ranch sits on .75- to 2-acre lots. We offer several options for each plan and pride ourselves on building a home our buyer will love.”
In addition to offering a variety of home sizes and price points, Monticello Homes offers customization opportunities to meet the preferences and styles of all homebuyers. “We offer a robust selection of floor plans as well as options to help you make your home, yours,” Hoover says. “Many of our homes come standard with spray foam insulation, ZIP System and Bosch appliances.”
To assist buyers in building the homes of their dreams, the Monticello Homes team delivers a high-level of customer service throughout the building process, from start to finish. “We communicate openly with our home buyers and walk with them through the full buying process, whether it be from building a home or buying one of our beautiful inventory homes,” Hoover says. “Our sales professionals have many years of experience and work closely with our builders to ensure a seamless process from contract to closing.”
Monticello Homes has received many awards and honors recognizing the company’s commitment to building homes using quality design principals, products and customer service. In addition to receiving the 2016 Distinguished Single-Family Builder Award from the Greater San Antonio Builders Association, Monticello Homes has been honored by the Texas Association of Builders, National Association of Home Builders, Parade of Homes and the San Antonio Business Journal.
After 25 years in the home building business, Monticello Homes continues to produce sought-after homes in the area’s most popular master planned communities by continuing to use innovative and current design trends, building practices and construction techniques. “Our thoughtful design and beautiful finishes create the perfect home,” Hoover says.
