KB Home in Austin Market
KB Home builds new homes in the most desirable communities throughout central Texas. In the Austin market, the builder can be found in 31 communities, with several new communities opening throughout central Texas in 2019. KB Home builds in Oakmont in Georgetown, Northridge Park II in Austin, Willow Trace near the Domain, Sundance Crossing in southeast Austin and Village at Northtown. “KB Home has been very active in the Austin market, acquiring new land and opening several new communities,” says Ken Langston, division president.
“Oakmont offers a plethora of nearby amenities for move-up or move down and active adult residents through its proximity to historic downtown Georgetown. There is quick access to modern shopping amenities, and the area’s recreation facilities. There are nearby golf courses, Lake Georgetown, San Gabriel River park and trailhead plus much more,” Langston says. “Models for Northridge Park II will be opening mid-summer 2019. Opening in late-summer 2019, Willow Trace is in the highly acclaimed Round Rock ISD schools and near Dell Com-puter’s headquarters. Other communities under development for 2019 include Sundance Crossing and Village at Northtown, which are on pace to open in the fall of 2019.”
To ensure residents are able to build homes specific to their needs and style, KB Home offers a unique homebuilding process. The process focuses on providing the highest level of customer satisfaction in the homebuilding industry. “As part of KB Home’s distinct homebuilding pro-cess, buyers may personalize many aspects of their new home to suit their budget and preferences,” Langston says. “After selecting their lot and floorplan, KB homebuyers work with expert design consultants who guide them through every aspect of the process. The KB Home Design Studio, a retail-like showroom where they can select design and décor choices, includes countertops, cabinets, lighting, appliances and window coverings.”
In addition to working with the Design Studio, customers meet with on-site counselors to select their floor plan, elevation and lot. Throughout the construction process, customers have the choice to attend on-site visits. This will orient them with their home’s features and weekly updates are provided to outline the building progress. To ensure complete satisfaction, the builder’s customer service team meets regularly with customers to get feedback.
Through a commitment to sustainability, KB Home builds environmentally-friendly homes that offer lower homeownership costs compared to other resale homes. “We take a broad approach to sustainability, encompassing energy efficiency, water conservation, healthier in-door environments, smart home capabilities and waste reduction,” Langston says. “KB Home is the first national builder to have earned awards under all of the U.S. EPA’s homebuilder programs — ENERGY STAR®, WaterSense® and Indoor airPLUS®.”

“We believe Austin is a great market in both the near- and long-term future. We are continuing to actively build and invest in the area and are always looking for land development opportunities uniquely suited for our new homes,” Langston says. He continues, “KB Home Austin will continue to offer a mix of master-planned communities. These will include a full array of amenities, desirable locations, and boutique in-fill developments.”
