For nearly a decade, MX3 Homes has been building quality homes in many of the most desirable communities and cities throughout Central Texas. Founded as a locally owned homebuilder focused on the East Austin market, MX3 Homes has expanded into new markets, evolving and advancing their home designs and building techniques.

“In the fall of 2017, in addition to our Austin presence, we began a shift to include expansion into San Marcos, Lakeway, Lago Vista and Leander,” says Rob McDonald, chief operating officer for MX3 Homes. “During this growth, we continue to increase our presence in communities within each of these markets.”
As MX3 Homes continues to grow and search for new opportunities, the business is making conscious efforts to maintain its reputation for quality design and construction. “Our designs focus on form and function, efficiency and practicality, combined with our own MX3 Homes ‘Stamp of Appeal’ that we feel best suits the communities we build in,” McDonald says.

Depending on the area or community, MX3 Homes focuses on providing homes tailored to the needs and lifestyle of those homebuyers. In addition to this, MX3 Homes designs a wide variety of homes with distinctive styles to meet the needs of its clients. “Our home styles vary significantly, depending on the community we are in, including modern, contemporary, craftsman, farmhouse, cottage and more,” McDonald says.

MX3 Homes is also focused on “adding value” far beyond what is included in the price of the home. “MX3 Homess includes standard features in the price of our homes that are typically provided at additional cost to buyers by other builders,” McDonald says. “That sets us apart from a lot of builders. For us, our value add occurs with how we do business. MX3 Homes clients can expect a personalized, professional experience. We want to create trust and encourage our clients throughout the homebuilding process. We do that by providing useful information to them proactively. We all know buying a home is one of the most important decisions our clients can make, and we want them to feel appreciated and excited about their decision to choose MX3 Homes. Clear communication is one of the best ways to make the process easier for everyone involved.

Leading the future expansion and growth of the company are McDonald and Anthony Gunter, chief executive officer, who oversees land acquisition and strategic growth. With a combined 50 years of experience in the industry, McDonald and Gunter have plans to continue to evolve and expand their business while maintaining consistency and quality. “Our sensitivity is to recognize that we can’t be everything to everyone; we want to be great in those areas that we do focus on,” McDonald says.

Above all, ensuring client satisfaction throughout the building process and beyond remains the key to MX3 Homes’ success. As a final comment, McDonald adds, “We realize that every potential client is unique, and as unique as they are, their choices of where they live and the home they live in similarly are a reflection of themselves. With that in mind, we focus on areas that are considered desirable, do our homework and due diligence to see what that ‘magic formula’ is for pricing and product and work hard to develop it with our own MX3 Homes touch.” RL
